Symptoms Of Anxiety and Anxiety Attacks

Psychological Symptoms Of Anxiety:

General Anxiety Disorder may cause changes in your behaviour and the ways you think and feel about situations, creating symptoms like:

  • Restlessness
  • A sense of dread
  • Feeling constantly “on edge” and worrying
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Being irritable

Symptoms may cause people to withdraw from social situations (social anxiety) to avoid feelings of worry and dread.

They can also find going to work difficult and stressful and withdraw from work. These behaviours can make people worry even more about themselves and increase their lack of self-esteem and stress.

Physical Symptoms Of Anxiety

  • Dizziness
  • Tiredness
  • A strong, fast or irregular heartbeat
  • Muscle aches and tension
  • Trembling or shaking
  • Dry mouth
  • Excessive sweating

  • Feeling sick
  • Headache

  • Difficulty falling or staying asleep
